(00:00:00.800 - 00:00:49.200)
A blank wall painted uneven shades of white.
(00:00:49.840 - 00:01:21.040)
An angled closeup of a dirty window sill. The night is black through the window. The camera is more focused on the far end of the window sill than the portion closest to it.
(00:01:21.680 - 00:02:13.920)
Two walls, one grey in the darkness and the other a faded brown, with a yawning void of black shadow between them.
(00:02:15.920 - 00:02:40.320)
The camera is on a carpeted floor and looking into a room of brown furniture shrouded in shadow. Everything is out of focus and it’s difficult to make out exactly what lies in the room.
(00:02:41.840 - 00:03:45.425)
A blank black screen.
(00:03:45.425 - 00:04:05.679)
The title “THE MODERN PROMETHEUS” appears in angled text, followed by smaller text that says “A FILM BY A.C.D”

A collage of discolored neon purple, blue, and pink pictures of the inside of a.c.d’s digestive system and text cut out from different locations, where groups of words are displayed with different sizes, weights, and fonts. The text reads “The changing brain. In introduction to The Modern Prometheus. Respectfully inscribed by the author.” Then the word “contexts” in all caps, followed by the discolored images. Some of the gut pictures have colored labels pressed into the center of the images. The labels are Happiness, Fear, Sadness, Anger, Moral violation, and Beautiful sunset. At the bottom center of the pyramid of gut pictures is a silouette of a body labeled “Neutral” and “rotten food”. Surrounding all of the scraps of paper that make up the collage are scribbles that vaguely resemble signatures or unreadable shorthand that have been cut out from the same source. None of them are legible.
a.c.d (she/her & he/him) is a white peruvian-american creator who enjoys making art about ghosts, teeth, and the many different kinds of monsters, all explored through a lens of disability and every other experience he’s ever had. She’s tried as many mediums as he can get her hands on, but there’s still so many more. You can find all of his experiments/triumphs/failures at acd.works.
