GLAMIFESTO (or A Manifesto in Non-Being)

GLAMOUR, of unspecific etymological origin:

Scottish gramyre, Greek grammatiki, Norse glamsyni

All conjoin under a common definition of charm,

enchantment
                                                                        and illusion

A spell of spectacle, cast by the clever tongues of those immaculate beings
Igniting an inexplicable provocation of desire in all those outside the Glamorous
Those outside the Glamorous,

the Glamour-less,

Fuel Glamour through projection and longing

Some of those, we shall consider the

“UNGLAMOROUS”

Not all Glamour-less are Unglamorous,

But all Unglamorous are Glamour-less

Acquainted far too closely with the UN:

a state of not-being,

The restrictive selves of the Unglamorous, whose constraints of
                                                                                                possibility,
                                                                                practicality,
                                                and probability leave them
                                un-sophisticated
                unsubstantial
and un-exceptional
These constraints, however, allow a distinction from the Glamourous
The Glamorous body is one that exists within the
im-possible,
                the im-practical,
                                and the im-probable.

Glamour functions on this very “IM”

The IM as an expansive state of non-being

Not the UN*

*which we know now is a restrictive state of willful not-being

Or the IN, which is a fickle state of non-being that Glamour could associate itself with*

*but the vagueness of IN also supposing a state of
being within something else, or a state of heightened being
makes it altogether too variable for our purposes here**

**note that this variability in itself is indeed Glamorous

Rather, Glamour is immutably intertwined with the IM
An astute rejection of
                the possible,
                                the practical,
                                                the probable,
                                                                the measurable,
                                                                                the mortal,
                                                                                                and most imminently,

THE “MATERIAL”

It is material obsession that most differentiates the Glamorous from the Unglamorous
They think the Glamorous self-obsessive, materialistic, vain
In a jealous rage, they attempt to demolish the Glamorous,

                                                Parading
                                self deficiency
as moral authority

Attempting to box the Glamorous into their willfully ignorant state of not-being*

*of which they cannot free themselves from

All the while tainted by the same self obsessive materialism they so fear

In a secret pursuit of Glamour

Unknown to them is the Glamorous unconcern for the material
Acquainted with the IM,
of which the Unglamorous do not know,

Glamour is a constant state of flux between being and non being

too elusive,
too adaptive
too expansive
                                                                for the Unglamorous to grasp

The Glamorous haunt the subconscious of the Unglamorous
Golems constructed of their mortal fears
                                                                Transcending their sensual desires

So it is true that the Glamorous cannot exist without the Unglamorous

(though it’s frightening to admit)

It is through their un-assuming selves
                                Their un-sophisticated selves
                                                                Their un-imaginative,
                                                                                                un-exceptional selves

That the Glamorous can frame their own potential of expression
                That any IM
                                        (and sometimes IN)
is better than that restrictive UN

Even if the Unglamorous weaponize that UN,
Claiming it as the only “acceptable” state of being

The Glamorous care little for the acceptable,

and even less for the Un-acceptable

Because no matter what the Unglamorous may claim in their tantrums of

                                fear

and greed

and self-loathing

They wish to be Glamorous all the same.
