Tamar Ashdot is a queer interdisciplinary artist who melds poetry, photography, and video into bodies of work that investigate identity, religion, chronic illness, and place. Tamar holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of Michigan, is an Academy of American Poets College Prize winner, and a recipient of fellowships from the Helen Zell Writers’ Program and Vermont Studio Center. “cataloguing care” is Tamar’s debut video poem/short film, a visual and textual exploration into the nature of care, what is received, offered, forgotten, melding hybrid and multilayered footage of expansive nature with the steady resounding truth of poetry.
