A medieval flute riff plays on an FM synthesizer, accompanied by a delay-soaked synth harp. The riff loops into a sustained groove and is joined by a bassoon-like synth bass. Electronic sounds echo, panning from left to right. As the music builds, a second synth-flute joins in counterpoint.

Dear editors,

I send you this dispatch from the Endless Ruin, which I have long wandered in search of elusive meaning. Having made a harrowing journey through the Onyx Arch, I find myself among moss-cloaked effigies, all gazing up toward the shrouded peaks of Ourea. It is my hope that they will guide me toward the Dreaming Pools, that occulted place of which I have heard the toads sing.
